Welcome to the site dedicated to prevent depression and raise healthy kids by strengthing family connections. Beware...If you proceed further you may feel less depressed!
General Description
- This is a
place where you can learn how to
get over the negative effects of
depression on your family. This ls a
place where you can learn from
your depression and raise healthier
children. We are also researching
whether it's possible to prevent
children at high risk of developing
depression, from ever getting
depressed. If you are a parent who
has suffered clinical depression,
your children have a high risk
of getting depressed.
- We are a team of Kaiser Permanente, University of Vermont and private (Networks nc.) behavioral health professionals offering a state-wide
depression prevention educational
program. The program is offered for whole families
in five day-long Saturday conferences
over one year. We are funded by the
Kaiser Permanente Research Institute and
generous unrestricted educational grants from
Pfizer Pharmaceutical Co.,
Eli Lilly & Co., and SmithKline Beecham. This program is free and offered to all (regardless of insurance), however, research entrance criteria must be met.
